EXCEL FOOTBALL CAMPS

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Trevor Gaylor.Excel Training has teamed up with NFL Wide Receiver Trevor Gaylor to offer Quarterback and Receiver Football Clinics & NFL Defensive Tackle Angel Rubio to offer Defensive and Offensive Line clinics .

Trevor Gaylor was drafted in the 4th round by the San Diego Chargers and later played with the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions. Trevor then played in the CFL where he won a Grey Cup (Canada’s equivalent to the Super Bowl). Trevor attended Miami of Ohio where he set the record for yards per reception and touch down receptions. 

After his NFL and Canadian professional football career, Trevor owned and operated one of the most successful Football Camps in Miami Florida where he sent over 20 athletes to Division 1 Colleges on Football scholarships. 

Angel Rubio played 6 years in the NFL mostly with the San Francisco 49ers but also with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals. Angel also played 4 years with Detroit Fury, Dallas Desperados and Austin Wranglers in the AFL as a Defensive/Offensive Tackle. He was a 2-Time NCAA  All-American at Southeast Missouri State University and was named the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Defensive Player of the year.

EXCEL SPEED & AGILITY CAMPS

Speed & Agility Camp

In this camp we go over the technique for linear and lateral sprinting, lateral cutting as well as technique for accelerating, decelerating in order to make efficient weight transfer when making lateral movements. This camp is great for ALL athletes to work on their technique and the first 5-10 yards of acceleration through power. We spend each session working on drills and techniques to improve both linear and lateral speed.

 

SPEED & AGILITY CAMP LEVEL II

Level I Speed & Agility Camp is not required but helpful. In Level II we will be testing on some new agility drills but will also refresh on the techniques learned in Level 1 camp. Level II will focus more on the strength and power required to become better at sprinting and cutting. We will introduce more bounding and plyometrics as well as more advanced speed and agility drills.

Jump camp pic1EXCEL JUMP CAMP

All American Track & Field Athlete and Jump King – Kevin Ball –  will be giving away his secrets on how he was able to dunk in the 8th grade at 5’8” tall and twice win the Missouri State Long Jump Championship with a jump of 24’4 ½ “ in High School, ranked 3rd in the United States. Increase your vertical, be more explosive, increase your speed, tried / tested/ and proven jump training techniques.

EXCEL SOCCER CAMPS WITH CORE

Excel Training has teamed up with Jamie Swanner and the CORE Soccer Training Program which utilizes five stages of player development. These building blocks increase body awareness, self-efficacy, technical proficiency, and tactical understanding of all positions, thus improving the overall success of the player. Only through quality repetition and commitment, can a player attain their full potential; this requires players to “become comfortable being uncomfortable”. All participants are expected to step outside their comfort zone in an effort to elevate their level of play.
